Walking the walk

As Christians, we know that the men and women of God will fall because the only one that was sinless was Jesus.  We put faith in our pastors as they too, get up every morning to fight an enemy that is well aware of their weaknesses, which we know nothing about.

If you are blessed to get fed weekly from a pulpit, remember to remove that man or woman and focus on the message, not the messenger.  Stop glamorizing these flawed humans, stop being a groupie and a cheerleader about their life.  Focus on the word, not the human.

While these men and women are trusted into ministry and we do all hold them at a high standard, yes, but they are not Jesus, the enemy will continue to prey on them because he knows that is the quickest way to discourage both new and seasoned believers.

Yes, moral failure needs to be exposed because we serve a God of excellence but please stop making your religious walk about church clicks and glamorize those in leadership, make it about the word instead so that when you hear about these things you can separate the two without affecting your walk and allowing the enemy to use those situations from discouraging you and your family from the spiritual walk ahead of you.

Adams where are you?

A couple weeks ago, one of our Pastors was preaching, and he asked a simple question during the sermon. Adam, where are you? He spoke about how God was cut off from seeing his children. Sin had come between them. It was at that moment they were cast out of Eden.  I’ve been waking up with the same questions for a couple of nights now, and this morning, as I write this, the sun hasn’t come up yet. We as men are the “Adams “ of the world. So I’ve been tasked with asking.  Adam’s where are you?

Where are you when we see social media being a tool of division instead of uniting us? We are like mice in a laboratory.  The algorithm feeds us our wants and desires to keep us happy for hours on our phones. We are addicted to information to the point we miss out to much of what’s going on around us.

Adam’s where are you? When the Gospel of love is being hijacked by the Lgbtq community to allow gay Pastors on the pulpit and gays in positions of power within churches because we as men are told not to ask.

Jesus is the prophet of love, but He also said it simply: “Go and sin no more.” Are we not called to be salt in our society of blandness? Do we sit idly by, seeing how our houses of worship are Lukewarm by being so all-inclusive that we would rather fill seats than share the message of sin and redemption? Getting back to the basics of what sin is will go a long way in not letting it hide in plain sight.

Adam’s where are you?
During this conflict in Isreal. Do you chant the slogan from the river to the sea, or do you stay quiet? Do you pray for Israelis and Palestinians equally, knowing that war only brings pain to the innocent? Do you support terrorists or freedom fighters? Do you believe in the right to self-defense and to live in peace? As for one who made a pilgrimage to the Holy Land, I can attest that very few there realize how Holy that land really is. If they did, they wouldn’t send thousands of rockets over the skies of Israel.

Adam’s where are you?
When we see antisemitic protests. Do we know where the root of antisemitism comes from?  The fact is that antisemitism was born out of the church during forced conversions. From the inquisition to the crusades, even to the expelling from countries, our Christian forefathers have much Jewish blood on their hands in the name of the faith. A past lie that has been repeated throughout history is that the Jews killed Jesus. Yet forgetting that Jesus himself could have called legions of Angels to his side for protection. He went willingly to the cross as the sacrificial lamb. We must, as Christians, know that history.

Adam’s where are you?
Do you share with those closest to you your internal struggles? The dark hidden pain, that trauma has made you forget a pain that if it were to come out into the light you would feel embarrassed. We must remember we have brothers in arms that will stand in the gap giving good counsel even when we fall there will always be hands to lift you up.

Adam’s where are you?
Have you, as a child of God, identified your generational curses in your family?  As a father and priest of your house, have you identified from both your lineages the wrongs of your ancestors?  Adultery, lying, cheating, stealing, addictions, anger, and envy.  A good father leaves an inheritance.  What inheritance will you pass on that is good for your future generations?

Adam’s where are you?
In these turbulent times, where right is wrong and wrong is right. Where do you stand with a man identifying as a woman to play women's sports? Where do you stand with society telling us not to offend anybody by calling people pronouns? By blurring the lines of what man and woman are, we are allowing people to believe they are God. By identifying as other than what you were born as, you are saying God made a mistake.

Adams, it’s time we not only ask the hard questions but seek the hard answers. Will we, as the Adams of the world, continue to stand idly by as the apple is passed around?

Adam’s wake up for there are many battlefields that await us, which field will you be willing to fight on?

“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.”
‭‭Joshua‬ ‭1‬:‭9‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Holding hands through the storms

We always find it beautiful when we come across an image of an elderly couple holding hands. Why is that? How is that sweet image able to soften our hearts? Can it be because we recognize that they made it, that they are victorious? Because they were able to achieve something we only dream about, but for one reason or another, life happens, and we don’t think we will get there. What a blessing to grow old with the person you love!

Now do me a favor, Can you close your eyes and picture yourself at eighty years old sitting on a park bench holding hands with your spouse? Hold that image for a few seconds, take a few deep breaths as your seal it in your memory. Let the image give you peace, feel love and appreciation, let that image sink deep Inside your soul and save it there.

Therefore, what God has joined together, let no one separate.” He reminds us in Mark‬ ‭10:9‬ For when the storms of life seem overwhelming, thinkk of the peace you felt when you recorded the image deep inside your soul. The enemy will sway you left and right, over and over again through the years, he will try to make you think you are sinking ,but if you are grounded on the word of God, No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper says Isaiah‬ ‭54:17‬

According to Peter we are to be “Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:” 1 Peter‬ ‭5:8‬ You must make Jesus number one in your life and remember that image of the two of you holding hands after a lifetime of memories.

You may think, How will that image sustain me? When you make God your anchor, you are sustained by declaring Jesus is your Lord and Savior, because he says in Romans 8:2,8 “we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.”
‭‭
Continue to hold hands through the storms of life, declare the blood of Jesus over your lives with God always at the center, seek Him every day, and in the end, you will bring that beautiful image to life.

The right now life

Can you say, "I have maximized every moment with the people I love?" The definition of maximize is to increase as much as possible. Let that sink in!

The right now life doesn't mean changing everything you are doing by quitting your job and moving to Europe and starting your dream life. What it means is, take every moment as a life experience and apply that as the foundation for the voyage of your dreams while never forgetting that the most important moments come from your family.

Right now life is about changing little things that establish your future walk in life. What can you do right now to maximize your opportunities in love, family, and business?

Reflection: Big waves start as little ripples and have the power to turn into a Tsunami with the right environment.

Finding our treasure!

How about if daily you decided to take an inventory of your deeds, to make sure you do good because when you go home to your eternal life you want to make sure you are rewarded, You don’t wanna look around and think "had I only did this or that on Earth I would have earned that and that in Heaven", be led by that feeling of pleasing The Lord in all your ways versus impressing man so that you can hear Well done, good and faithful servant, You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your master's happiness!" Matthew 25:21.

Heaven is real! Jesus died for us to live eternally, that is so crazy, still to this day we can awe in the ultimate sacrifice, a sacrifice that easily goes unnoticed as we live each day.  A sacrifice that we don’t deserve, a sacrifice that will guarantee us free entry through heavenly gates some day.

Wow, Wow, Wow. Can you just imagine the magnitude of what that means? People will mock us, will put us down and will talk about us because we know something they don’t know yet. We found the ultimate treasure and It has the name of Jesus.

Stepping stones that lead to God's miracles

There are miracles taking place all around you, but are you aware? Do you realize that we can tap into scripture any time we need His provision in our life?  God knows our hearts, our motives, and we are flawed humans, that we are sinners, but yet his grace pours over our lives.

Faith the size of a mustard seed is sufficient to move mountains for His miracles to overflow your life, Mathew 17:20.  God will allow the testing of the enemy just like He did with Job to grow us, to teach us, to mature us and to see our true heart and once that happens, He will suddenly reward us for being obedient and will spring us into a new season where the harvest is abundant.
Do you realize that God's word says, "you have not because you ask not"? James 4:1-2

Today, I encourage you to find some stones that lead to His miracles. Stones, you ask? Yes, stones, for us stones look like this:

Fill the atmosphere with worship songs, we go to the word and remind God of His word and promises over our lives believing the miracle is ours before it comes to fruition. We look the enemy in the face and command Him to flee because we are covered by the blood of Jesus, and He has no power.  We really tell him, “Get the Hell out, devil, and take your demons with you,” and He sure does!  All fear, worry, and anxiety go with him.

Next we do as pastor Todd from Transformation Church says in His faith series “Faith finds friends” we find at least three friends, prayer warriors to pray with us, over us and believe with us that God is the God of the impossible.  Believe God can grant us the miracle we are believing for.   We surrender completely, surrender all our cares and desires to Him and only Him.

Lastly, we have go-to verses of God's promises over our life and write them down so that when the enemy attacks, we pull up the verses of His promises for the battle.  Being prepared will stop the fear of the enemy in its tracks.
Habakkuk‬ ‭2:2-3‬ says then The Lord replied,' Write down the revelation and make it plain on tablets so that a herald may run with it. For the revelation awaits an appointed time; it speaks of the end and will not prove false. Though it lingers, wait for it; it will certainly come and will not delay.” We sit still and wait patiently for Him to work His miracles and get ready to receive and give Him all the glory.

You have not because you ask not! True Story: Our test became our testimony, and yours will as well!
